P&O Ventura

Ventura touched the ocean in 2008 so, not the newest ship of the fleet. However she is still my favourite ship.

The Ventura holds 3,078 guests and 1,205 crew members. With 4 pools, 6 whirlpools there’s plenty of space to relax and cool down.

The outside pool offers a burger/hot dog station as well as ice cream and pizza. On sail away’ there is music played, and the theatre crew join you and dance on the small stage.

For those who love fitness and sport, there is a tennis/football/cricket/basket ball court on deck 19, with a golf driving range next door. The Ventura also has an amazing gym, which is at the front of the ship over looking the ocean views.

The crew on the Ventura are extremely friendly, and nothing is never too much for them. The ship is the perfect size as, you get to know the crew as well as guests on board.

This ship has 4 different children’s clubs from 6 months up to 17 yrs old. You do need to book your children into the clubs once on board via the P&O app. There is pool tables, computers, play stations/XBOXs and so much more to keep the older children entertained safely, leaving you to put your feet up and relax more.

Now Ventura does have its downfalls as it isn’t the newest ship, and it isn’t up to date with modern interior. However, it is a beautiful ship which is the perfect size for any intermate holiday with lots of food and entertainment onboard.

A cruise is what you make of it and you read lots of negatives about this ship. That doesn’t mean you will feel the same way. If you want a large ship that is modern then the Arvia or Iona is just for you. But the Ventura is the perfect ship for a intermate and personal holiday experience.

Ventura will always be my favourite ship which, I have been on many of times.
