Perfect way to start the day.

Whether you are a morning person or still under the duvet at dawn, a good morning always set a great foundation for an amazing day. As a morning person I have put my go to ways to start my day.

The best thing about a cruise is waking up and being in a new destination every day. When you are coasting into port, there’s nothing better then opening your curtains and watching the ship dock, before heading down to the atrium to disembark and explore. Even if you are part of a shore excursion or exploring independently, the sight of a new designation and a step on land is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

You cant miss the most important meal of the day… Breakfast, the ships offer lots of places to gain your day fuel. If fluffy pancakes are the way to start your morning head to The Quays on the Arvia, or visit 6th Street Diner for an all day breakfast option. On the Britannia head to the Market Café to immerse yourself in delicate crepes and tasty waffles. All ships across the fleet offer a buffet which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the buffet offers food from all around the world, you can have anything you want from fresh fruit, to a full English or even an omelette. Want breakfast in bed or on the balcony? Use Rise and Shine which is booked the night before at no charge and delivered to your door. Room service is also available for those spontaneous lay ins.

As there is a gym on board and open 24/7 it is the perfect way to earn that morning glow. With early morning yoga classes to free weights, you can enjoy stunning views whilst creating a sweat. With the open deck that runs around the ship on the Ventura and Azura or the running track on the Arvia, Iona and Britannia to you get your jogging shoes on for fresh air and views. on the Ventura 7 laps make 1 mile and on the Iona 3 and a half laps are 1 mile. Speak to the PT on board or checking your daily Horizon, you can view all the classes available.

Once you have had your morning fuel and built up a sweat, head up to the top deck for some vitamin D to soak up the morning sun. Take a dip in the pool for a morning swim and do some laps whilst the pools are quieter. If its too chilly hop in the jacuzzi for a bit of warmth. Kick back in Costa with a coffee and breathe in the fresh sea breeze before starting your day with more activities onboard and watching the ship come to life.
