Flam is known for its panoramic views and colourful traditional buildings. Known for its railway line which takes you to the heart of the waterfall, you can soak up the views whilst in comfort. Flam is also known for its delicious treats and tucked away spots, but why not try the Stegastein viewing platform, 650 metres above Aurlandsfjord. Enjoy one of many hiking trails to get you back to sea level. Enjoy the handful of shops, full of souvenirs, warm jackets or every day clothes, perfect for some retail therapy. With the opportunity to hop onto a noddy train just 0.2 miles from docking location or, take a 6 minute stroll and hire a small car to make sight seeing that more personal.
I have complied all the information and knowledge into this guide to which I collected whilst ashore. Help from locals advice, to friends onboard, and a touch of google. Most of these are just a short walk away from the port, however i always advise to plan your routes to ensure enough time is created. You never want to miss the ships departure.
