Stavanger port guide

Stavanger was put on the map and made known as an oil capital. Don’t let the history fool you, Norway has become a town with colourful buildings and extravagant shops. With local cafes, trying the traditional Waffle is a must! Stavanger also has some amazing museums to wander through which an unusual twist. Also look out for these small statues of men in suits around the shopping centre, ask locals for the story. Full of shops with either traditional dresses to comply casual clothes, its the perfect place to offer retail therapy. If you travel with children head to the park, where there is a unique play area, made from recycled items.

I have complied all the information and knowledge into this guide to which I collected whilst ashore. Help from locals advice, to friends onboard, and a touch of google. Most of these are just a short walk away from the port, however i always advise to plan your routes to ensure enough time is created. You never want to miss the ships departure.
