Britannia is on her way!

The stunning ship Britannia has set sail from Southampton on her first cruise, following her multi-pound makeover.

The changes which happened earlier this month are due because, Britannia will be celebrating her 10th anniversary on a cruise in June 2025.

Guests had the first experience with the changes made this weekend, and there hasn’t been a complaint. With new upholstery, new colour palette, an extension of the loyalty and cruise sale area, more of a dining option in the Café and more, the ship is looking as good as new since her first cruise in 2015.

P&O cruises have made a statement saying, “Bringing to life some of the distinctive design aspects from Iona and Arvia, the Sunset Bar has a new warm colour scheme and additional seating and the children’s splash area will see a colourful upgrade with interactive water features.”

“Following the success of the luxury gelato brand Snowflake on Iona and Arvia, the Market Café will now offer Snowflake’s first gelato -filled doughnuts at sea.”

Paul Ludlow who is P&O Cruise president said, “Britannia is our flagship, and with her 10th anniversary celebration cruise next summer we know the importance of ensuring the ship looks its absolute best to deliver an elevated experience for our new and loyal guests.”

Britannia will set sail for her 10th anniversary celebration cruise on the 6th June 2025, from Southampton to explore the British Isles. I know I will be booking this one!

The ports Britannia will visit are; Newhaven (Edinburgh), Kirkwall, Stornoway, Belfast, overnight in Liverpool, Cobh (Cork). Prices are slightly higher than normal but given the celebration it will be worth every penny. Inside cabins start at £1,099 per person, based on two people sharing an inside cabin.

There will be more details announced closer to the time with regards to who the special guests onboard will be, other surprises and more.

I cant wait to see what they have changed in person when I head to Norway on her in May. She is a stunning ship and one of my favorites (don’t tell the Ventura), and this cruise will definitely be one to book.
