When packing for any type of holiday, you always have to account for all weathers. I always over pack and no matter how much I try to be careful with what I take, I always seem to be hauling suitcases behind me.
For first time cruisers, it may be hard to gauge what kind of clothes to pack, so I have made a list of what I take with me and sites I tend to buy my evening gowns from.
Evening gowns:

Casual:
Everyone has their favourite shops where they get their everyday clothes from, however these are my go to shops which I always grab for my getaways!
If you haven’t hear of these two shops then where have you been hiding? Zara and River Island are two very popular retail brands, which cover a variety of sizes and prices. Zara has an option which helps you chose the best size for each item and River Island have a in depth size guide with intricate measurements too. These two brands have more of a minimal sizing guide so this might not be inclusive to everyone. Below are some items I brought from either site.

Sleeping:
I’m not sure about you but, finding the most comfy pyjamas for your holiday can be extremely important. Depending on the weather and the time you will be in your room. On a cruise you are given the luxury of heating as well as aircon, so you don’t have to worry about freezing on winter cruises. This means you don’t need to pack thick woolly pyjamas for you getaway, saving you some luggage space.
I am a sucker for a Next pyjama set, they are always so comfy and soft. I don’t have too many photos of my different pyjamas which are from next, but you can get the idea. The ones below are so soft yet thin that I don’t overheat or freeze in the night. Next offer a wide variety of sizes so everyone can enjoy them!

Bathing costumes & Cover ups:
I always take a swimming costume with me on holiday, no matter what the itinerary is. When I went to Norway I took my swimmers, not because I wanted to go in the pools onboard but because I might need them for something. I am so grateful I did because not only did I sun bathe (Yes SUNBATHE), I also booked a sauna and cold plunge too. Onboard you are also requested to cover up if you are going to get food from the buffet, shops etc, so taking cover ups are useful.
I love my cover ups and bathing suits that are from ASDA (George), they are such good quality and extremely affordable. With a variety of styles and sizes its hard to be disappointed. They offer a size range of 8-22.

Active wear:
When on holiday I love going on hikes as well as going to the gym for a workout, so having the correct clothing allows me to enjoy my experience without being uncomfortable. JD sports offers a wide range of sports clothing for all ages and sizes and GO Outdoors specialises in outdoor wear, as well as some active clothing too. My hiking trousers have lasted me years and are still just as comfy as the day I brought them.
